We're Better Together

Find a group that's right for you

Simply put, life is better when we're connected. We were never meant to go through life alone. We'd love to help you find a LIFE|group where you can connect with a smaller group of people, grow deeper relationships, and truly be known.

Here’s how you can join a group.

  1. Click the "Find a LIFE|group!" button, and fill out the form. We'll reach out shortly with a group that we think will be a good match for you! (If it ends up not being a good match, we'll happily help you find a better match.)
  2. We'll connect you to your LIFE|group leader. The leader for your LIFE|group will reach out to you and you can ask any questions you may have.
  3. Meet your group. You'll never really know if a group is a good fit for you unless you check it out! We encourage everyone to try a group out (or several). There's no hard feelings if it's not the right fit. We'll continue to help you until you find your fit!

What are LIFE|groups at Legacy Church like?

LIFE|groups are meant to help us connect with God and grow in community. LIFE|groups at Legacy Church help us build friendships, find support when we need it, give support to others, ask tough questions alongside others, and explore what Jesus has called us to. At the end of the day LIFE|groups are meant to help us take the next step in our walk with Jesus.

This is how we do it. We…

Get together

LIFE|groups typically meet twice a month in a home and are oriented around relationships, catching up on life, and discussing a spiritual topic for the week.

Grow together

We always strive to grow, whether it be personally, spiritually, relationally, or even professionally! No matter if you're a long time follower of Jesus or someone who is still exploring what that means, our LIFE|groups provide a safe and loving environment to explore, ask questions, and grow together. Our LIFE|groups are centered around spiritual content that helps us dig deeper and engage in conversation that helps us grow in our relationships with Jesus.

Serve together

Our LIFE|groups also stress the importance to give back to the community around us--together. We love others because Jesus first loved us. We serve others because Jesus first served us. Our world has a lot of hurt in it. We want to bring some light to the darkness, and believe that is best done together.

What is the purpose of LIFE|groups?

We are--at the core of our being--designed for relationship. God designed us to be known and to know others. We believe that life transformation happens in community, not in isolation. But unfortunately, the world we live in can make it extraordinarily difficult to have real, deep relationships with other human beings. This is why we at Legacy Church place great emphasis on participating in a LIFE|group, because we need each other, and we are needed by each other. We intentionally seek to create smaller groups of community within our church body where we can truly be known, know others, and follow Jesus together.

Have you ever noticed that a high percentage of the commands in the New Testament given followers of Jesus can only be successfully obeyed in community? Think about it. We’re told to....

... love one another (John 13:34 - This command occurs at least 16 times)

... be devoted to one another (Romans 12:10)

... forgive one another (Ephesians 4:2, 32; Colossians 3:13)

... pray for one another (James 5:16)

... confess our sins to one another (James 5:16)

... encourage one another (1 Thessalonians 5:11)

... exhort one another (Hebrews 3:13)

... honor one another (Romans 12:10)

... bear with one another (Colossians 3:13)

... Live in harmony with one another (Romans 12:16)

... Build up one another (Romans 14:19; 1 Thessalonians 5:11)

... Admonish one another (Romans 15:14; Colossians 3:16)

... Care for one another (1 Corinthians 12:25)

... Serve one another (Galatians 5:13)

... Bear one another's burdens (Galatians 6:2)

... Be patient with one another (Ephesians 4:2; Colossians 3:13)

... Be kind and compassionate to one another (Ephesians 4:32)

... Submit to one another (Ephesians 5:21, 1 Peter 5:5)

... Look to the interests of one another (Philippians 2:4)

... Teach one another (Colossians 3:16)

... Comfort one another (1 Thessalonians 4:18)

... Show hospitality to one another (1 Peter 4:9)

Do you see a pattern? Not only do we believe it’s better to be in community, we would argue that it’s impossible to follow Jesus without it!

We have intentionally designed LIFE|groups at Legacy Church to be for EVERYONE. Whether you're a regular attendee, occasional visitor, a friend or neighbor, we invite you to check out our existing LIFE|groups or consider becoming a LIFE|group leader.
